Update: KJChase is the winner of the iTunes gift card! Congrats!
I mentioned in my growing readers post that we love to use apps to help sharpen our reading skills. Since so many of you wanted to know my favorites, I thought I would share a few.
I love that the kids can play games and build skills at the same time. My favorite use? I love that we can take the iPod touch with us to the doctor or other appointments and still accomplish valuable learning!
Would you love to have a few apps? I knew you would and that’s why today I am giving away a $15 iTunes gift card!
To enter the giveaway:
Leave a comment telling us your favorite app. It doesn’t need to be reading related or even for kids. Just share something you love or think you would love!

One of my favorite and most useful apps is called Grocery Gadget. It’s great for keeping track of my grocery list and I love that it will auto sync with another iPhone.

My favorite app right now is Relax Melodies. It’s a free customizable white noise/ambient sound generator. It helps my baby sleep through her sisters’ shennanigans.

I have one where they can practice where the states of the United States and the countries of the world are located. I love it. I’m not sure that my kids will, however.
Those apps look good. I have never used any app at all so thanks for the suggestions.

I don’t have a fancy gadget that allows me to use these apps, but I would use the first grade sight words if I did.
