apps for reading

Update:  KJChase is the winner of the iTunes gift card!  Congrats!

I mentioned in my growing readers post that we love to use apps to help sharpen our reading skills.  Since so many of you wanted to know my favorites, I thought I would share a few.

FirstWords: Animals

Word Bingo

iwrite words

word magic

Connect the Dots

Sight Words First Grade

I love that the kids can play games and build skills at the same time.  My favorite use?  I love that we can take the iPod touch with us to the doctor or other appointments and still accomplish valuable learning!

Would you love to have a few apps?  I knew you would and that’s why today I am giving away a $15 iTunes gift card!

To enter the giveaway:

Leave a comment telling us your favorite app.  It doesn’t need to be reading related or even for kids.  Just share something you love or think you would love!
