a day in my life

A sweet friend asked me to consider doing a post on a typical day in my life. I’m chuckling now at the thought. Typical? No two days are alike around here, but I took the challenge anyway and recorded every single thing for one whole day. This is just one some-what average day. June 21, 2012. May you find something useful, or at the very least get a good laugh! Please forgive grammar, run-on sentences and other errors. I did this on my phone- not while driving, of course. The goal was not perfect writing, but an accurate picture of how the day went.

“These are the simple joys of motherhood.”  One of my friends used to encourage me with one of the most often used phrases in the Bible, “And it came, to pass.”   Enjoy every minute of it Kim, and all moms, it goes by too quickly.

  2. Very well written.   Busy as it is, there are so many people out there who would give anything – ANYTHING – to have what you have and be a mom.  Even if it is alone and not as you planned.  Enjoy your blessings, though they’re exhausting. :)

    • Lauren, you are very right. Sometimes we get so blindsided by circumstances that we forget to look for the blessings in them. And there are ALWAYS blessings.

Being a mom is such a funny thing. Most of us want it so badly and then turn around and complain about how hard it is! I have so many friends that are desperate for children. Thank you for reminding us to always be sensitive to that. I’m so glad you stopped by and know that I am praying for you.

      • That was only meant as encouragement, by the way – NOT an accusation!  I didn’t want that to be misunderstood!  ;)
