Justyn says, “There was so much creativity this week! You ladies really come up with some fun things and I know I’ll be enjoying trying out these three.”

On Life Less Hurried, you can find Marinade 101 and learn some very helpful guidelines to create a marinade, plus some yummy-looking recipes to try.

Thanks to Allyson at A Heart For Home, I have learned how to add a ruffle to my daughters skirts and dresses to lengthen them! Fun sewing project and soooo cute! :-)

You can find some delicious cheesy grilled potatoes at A Nest in the Rocks. I know these are delicious, because we’ve been making ones like this for a few years. You’ve gotta try these!

  2. Kim,
I hardly know where to begin..A great friend led me to this blog…….I have spent the better part of today reading your words, and following where you led to Scripture.  I have read about homeschooling (which I do not do), brokeness, marriage issues, parenting, and it has all been healing.  I read a particular post about “The Day the Sun Set”…..as I read I was so in tune with the loss and devastation you must have felt.  The feeling of, “What do I do now?”  I read through this post, cherishing each sentiment and THEN….at the end it showed where you had journaled this on 4/19/10, originally.  THIS is where it got interesting……..From my perspective, you had spoken of God meeting you where you were……”stuff” happens, yet you must go to the cross.  Well,  it just so happens that April 19, 2010 was the day I found out that my daughter was gone.  I was 28 weeks……I won’t bog you down with details….but she was……GONE……devastation DID not and STILL does not begin to explain what I felt/feel……..but reading your post from that day, knowing what THAT day meant for me was healing. I appreciate the things you say, and as I re-read your post from your journal on 4/19/10, I am encouraged.  For the first time in over two years, I am encouraged.  My daughter is at the throne of holiness, and we WILL meet again. God is so good!

    • Oh, sweet friend, while I have been through some hard stuff, I could never pretend to relate to the loss of a child. Thank you for sharing your heart today!

One of the reasons that I started putting dates on really old entries was because I wanted people to understand that while this healing thing is a process, some of the rawest feelings aren’t overcoming me today. There is victory in Christ. I am so glad that you are encouraged. Praying for you!

  3. Thanks for hosting! I’m here for the first time, looking forward to meeting new bloggers.
