Why Teach them Diligently?
Until I went to Teach them Diligently Convention, a homeschooling convention was just a place to buy books and focus on academics for the coming year. The atmosphere of TTD was like none other. It changed the way I think about this important event. I was surrounded by thousands of other homeschoolers who all seemed like one big family. Everyone seemed to have one goal in mind…training children to be ambassadors for Christ. I didn’t feel judged for my circumstances. In fact, I felt loved. I left more encouraged about homeschooling than I had been in years. You can read more about last year in Top 3 Reasons to Go to a Homeschool Convention. Since then, I have volunteered my time for this amazing convention. I’ve attended Twitter parties and shared with anyone that I could find that this convention would change the way we see conventions. I’ve learned that not only is this entire convention built on the love of God, it’s actually a ministry: proceeds support Worldwide Tentmakers. How cool is that? I now know the family that runs this convention personally and can not speak highly enough about them. If you want to support a ministry that makes every move on bended knee…this is your convention!

That’s right. Just released last night, the latest speaker for TTD 2013 is none other than Pam Tebow, mother of the football star who captured our hearts with his love for Jesus. I have had the privilege of hearing her speak- and you WILL be blessed! And now…it’s time to register for next year. I just registered! I am so excited and especially that there is something that I can go to AS WELL AS my son!!! I am praying that everything will work out with my work schedule as well but I went ahead and took a step of faith and praying God will work out the rest! Thanks for the information!!! Can’t wait!!!

I have heard about this convention numerous times and hope to attend one day. My son is only three years old right now, so I’ll likely wait until he’s at least in kindergarten. So, for now, I’m keeping tabs on the convention and trying to save my pennies.
