You know all those things you WANT to do for the Christmas season but never seem to actually do? Yeah, you’re not alone! Often the holidays slip by so quickly that we neglect to do the things we want to do. You know, like serving others and doing those cool things with the kids. And yeah, checking off the shopping list. I’m super excited to announce something that will help! On December 1, we will start a 12-day email devotional series called the 12 JOYS of Christmas. The holidays have their way of making us feel CONSUMED, disappointed, unsatisfied, and at the very least, unaccomplished. Don’t let that happen this year! Join us as we focus on the JOYS we have in Christ. Each day you will get an email full of encouragement and ideas following the JOYS acronym.
- J: JESUS
- O: OTHERS
- Y: YOUR FAMILY
- S: SALE
The goal is to give you a devotional thought to carry you through the day, along with a quick idea for serving others and making the most of the time with your family. Then, of course, we want to shower you with a great sale price to help you with your shopping.
These are SHORT and simple ideas. We know you are busy this time of the year and don’t want to add to your list. The goal is to help you have the tools to do each of the things you WANT to do but often don’t do because time slips away.
Here is the detailed breakdown:
J: JESUS
Focusing on Jesus is the most important part of this series! You’ll find a very brief devotional thought and prayer helping us focus on all of the right things. Unlike an Advent journey, this will be more practical to the everyday challenges of the Christmas season. So if you have something planned with your family for Advent, you can certainly read both. Think 2–3 minutes, tops!
O: OTHERS
One of the secrets to true joy and contentment is an others-focused attitude. This part will be a simple suggestion of a way you can give back to others via a Random Act of Christmas Kindness. One simple act each day is a great way to make someone smile!
Y: YOUR FAMILY
Every year I have a bucket list of things I want to do with my kids but never end up doing. This aspect of the challenge will include a simple and FREE holiday-themed way to spend time as a family each day.
S: SALE
Of course, we all know ’tis the season for gift giving, so we will help you out with an awesome flash sale every single day. Be sure to check your email daily, as these will all expire at midnight. No exceptions!
