  1. Kim, I just want to say that you are such a blessing to me. Whenever I feel discouraged, I read one of your posts and know that I’m not alone. There is hope in God and in other home schooling Moms like you. Thanks for sharing all that you do! May God continue to bless you and your family, too!

  2. Such good advice, Kim. I am absolutely loving these middle school years WITH my kids. Training them to become more independent, watching them pursue their interests and cheering them on in them. It’s hard to begin to let them go, but so fun to watch who they are becoming in God!

  3. I always enjoy your posts. Our two girls have graduated homeschool and recently completed college degrees. You’d think I’d feel at ease with the third child entering sixth grade (homeschool). Alas, I feel like a newbie at this all over again! I think it’s because he is our only boy. It seems like a whole new ballgame to me! Thanks for the encouraging reminders.

  4. Thanks this was very interesting and helpful. Last year was my first year homeschooling, but not the traditional way of homeschooling. My daughter was in the 7th grade and did the K12 online program and I was her learning coach and I have a very demanding and busy job. Glad to see your #1 advice, because my mom was always criticizing me saying I wasn’t “monitoring” her enough! My thinking was she is a very independent and organized girl when it’s something she wants to do! Also, #3…whew! This was my motto and then I started to feel guilty towards the end of the year, so this was nice to read as your advice. Thanks again!
