Routines Week 2025 Day 1

A flexible start time is perfectly okay! What matters most is consistency in what you do, not necessarily when you do it. Think of your morning routine as the official kickoff to your homeschool day.
Start with God. Each morning, ask your kids, “What is the Lord teaching you?” and encourage them to share something from their quiet time or Bible study. This simple question fosters spiritual growth and meaningful conversation.
A strong morning routine builds connection and accountability. Include four key components: God time, where you ask faith-focused questions and reflect together; prayer time, which might include using prayer cards with younger children or open prayer as they grow; announcements to keep everyone in the loop with family plans and expectations; and a short family study where you can explore faith topics like missionaries, theology, or biblical timelines.
Even just fifteen to twenty minutes each morning can leave a lasting impact. Over time, this rhythm becomes a reliable cue that helps your kids shift into a focused and God-honoring day of learning.
