  8. SD Smith’s Green Ember Series and the Jack Zulu book he wrote with his son are both amazing Christian based fantasy novels. Another great author is Andrew Peterson and his Wingfeather series. You can tell both of these authors love Tolkien and CS Lewis and they write with the purpose of honoring God with their creative gifts.

  9. Julie & Christy by Catherine Marshall are excellent Christian reads. Catherine Marshall was wife to Pastor Peter Marshall. A Man Called Peter is a classic that must be watched.

  13. Your reading lists look great! Have you read the missionary story “When Things Seem Impossible?” It’s a truly inspiring true account of missionaries captured by terrorists in Colombia. God’s faithfulness and greatness is clearly on display from page one. I was a young girl when the events in this book occurred and remember praying fervently for the release of the missionaries.

    1. While we don’t have a list of fictional reads, there are many great lists available on the internet. Ambleside Online has many good recommendations, and there are many other quality lists available. I hope this helps! -Annie, NCM Team
